Santa has a storybook grotto at Fun Street this December, and meeting him does not involve standing outside in the cold. Santa's Grotto runs on nine dates in December 2026 at our Silverburn centre: Friday 4, Sunday 6, Monday 7, Friday 11, Saturday 12, Monday 14, Friday 18, Saturday 19 and Monday 21 December. Every ticket includes a visit with Santa, a gift from his own sack, playtime downstairs with the reindeer, a hot chocolate for every adult, and 90 minutes of full access to Fun Street.
Adult tickets are £4.99 on a Monday and £5.99 on a Friday or a weekend day, and children are £24.99 and £29.99 for the same days. There is also a dedicated Additional Support Needs session on Monday 7 December. The full price list by age is in section 3.
1. What happens in the grotto
Step inside our storybook grotto, where Santa is waiting to meet your little one. There is time to chat, to whisper that all important list, and to leave with a gift from Santa's own sack. Then the adventure carries on downstairs with the reindeer.
The part parents tend to appreciate most is what is missing. There is no queue in the cold, no twenty minute shuffle in a car park, and no rush once you are in front of him. When you arrive we give you a time slot to go up and meet Santa at some point during your session, so the rest of your 90 minutes is yours to spend playing.
Every grotto ticket includes:
- A visit with Santa, plus a gift for your child
- Playtime downstairs with the reindeer
- 90 minutes of full access to Fun Street
- Hot chocolate for every adult
- 10% off the Christmas menu at Erina's Kitchen
2. Dates, times and how long it lasts
The grotto runs on nine dates in December 2026, and the time of day depends on which you choose:
| Dates | Session times |
|---|---|
| Friday 4, Sunday 6, Friday 11, Saturday 12, Friday 18 and Saturday 19 December | 10am, 12pm, 2pm and 4pm |
| Monday 7, Monday 14 and Monday 21 December | 12pm |
| Additional Support Needs session, Monday 7 December | 10am |
Sessions are timed and they go in the order families book them. The busiest slots are the weekend mornings in the fortnight before Christmas, and the last grotto date of the year is Monday 21 December.
Every session is 90 minutes, with an extra 15 minutes on top for getting in and out. Sessions run to strict times so that every family gets their full visit, so please arrive about 10 minutes before yours starts and queue to the left of the entrance door.
Your Santa slot sits inside that 90 minutes. You will be told when it is as you come in, rather than having to watch the clock yourself.
3. Ticket prices
Grotto tickets are priced by age and by the day you choose, and every one of them includes the Santa visit, the gift and the full 90 minute play session:
| Ticket | Mondays, and the ASN session | Fridays and weekends |
|---|---|---|
| Adult | £4.99 | £5.99 |
| Baby, up to 6 months | £9.99 | £10.99 |
| Infant, 7 to 12 months | £15.99 | £17.99 |
| Toddler, 13 to 36 months | £21.99 | £26.99 |
| Child, 3 to 10 years | £24.99 | £29.99 |
Adults need a ticket too. Adults count towards the session capacity, and keeping a balanced ratio of children to adults is what stops the place filling up to the point where little ones cannot play properly. Adult grotto tickets include a hot chocolate.
Nothing is added at the door. The Monday prices are the cheapest way to do the grotto, and Monday 21 December is the last date of the year.
4. The Additional Support Needs session
There is a dedicated Additional Support Needs grotto session on Monday 7 December at 10am, priced the same as a Monday: £4.99 for an adult and £24.99 for a child aged 3 to 10. It is the same grotto and the same gift, run as its own session.
Fun Street is fully air conditioned and climate controlled all year round, which makes a noticeable difference on a December afternoon when everywhere else is either freezing or stifling. If you want to talk through what the session will be like before you book, message us on WhatsApp and we will answer honestly.
5. Babies and younger children
All babies need a ticket. Baby grotto tickets include a visit with Santa and a gift, so your little one can enjoy their first Christmas visit too.
The grotto suits children under 12. Downstairs, the baby play and toddler play zones are separate from the main soft play, so a crawler and a nine year old can both have a good time in the same 90 minutes without being in each other's way.
6. Getting here and parking
Fun Street is on the upper level of Silverburn Shopping Centre, Barrhead Road, Glasgow G53 6AG. By road it is M77 junction 2, and parking at Silverburn is free all day, every day, with more than 3,000 spaces.
By bus, Silverburn lists First Glasgow services 3, X8 and 10, McGill's services 3, 6, 49 and 374, and SPT service 153. The nearest stations are Priesthill and Darnley, each about a 20 minute walk. Full directions are on our how to get there page.
Erina's Kitchen is on site across two floors, serving proper meals for adults as well as children, and grotto tickets come with 10% off the Christmas menu.
7. Questions parents ask
